Our garden is a community garden. A collective garden that is owned and maintained by many different people. It provides an opportunity for people to meet each other, build friendships and work together in a collaborative space, at the same time as growing food to eat and share. The aim of the Melaleuca Community Garden is to be process oriented with a focus on community engagement and collaboration, an outlet for creativity and a safe space for healing. We want it to be an empowering and educational place where relationships between refugees and the broader community can flourish and grow.
