TRAINING - Supporting Children (0 - 11years) of Refugee Background in Child Care and School Settings

Target Group - primary school teachers, child care workers, school counsellors, family therapists or anyone working with children of refugee background

Description - This workshop will look at the effects of the refugee experience on children's development within the resettlement context.  Gain an understanding of how trauma can impact upon learning and behaviour and explore effective strategies for supporting children and their families.

Prerequisite - Prerequisite is recommended - An Introduction to Working with People of Refugee Background.  If you feel you have circumstances which make you exempt from the introductory prerequisite, please don't hesitate to contact us.
