TRAINING - An Introduction to Working with People of Refugee Background

Target Group - anyone working or volunteering with people of refugee background

Description - This workshop will provide an overview of the global refugee situation, characteristic aspects of the refugee journey and the impact these traumatic experiences have on survivors.  There will be some general tips for working effectively with survivors of torture and trauma and an overview of resettlement demographics in Australia.  A good introductory workshop for anyone who works with people of refugee backgrounds.
